Frequently Asked Questions

Wedding and General

Q: Can all weddings be filmed?

A: Generally speaking, yes. However, you will need to confirm this with the vicar / superintendent registrar in good time prior to the wedding. They will also confirm how many cameras may be used and whether they must be static or are allowed to move. Please be aware that some churches will charge a fee for allowing filming of the service. Some churches / registrars will not allow the signing of the register to be filmed. If an extra charge is incurred we would either expect you to pay or we would amend your bill if so required.

Q: What about music in church?

A. Infinite Filming holds PPL (private performance licences) for all productions for private viewing only and not for broadcast. In the event of corporate/sale or broadcast productions we would use an MCPS licence.

Q. Can I have some music of my own choice on the video?

A. You can, however it may be necessary to pay for the licensing to either MCPS or the record company concerned. This would be added to your final bill. Infinite Filming uses royalty free wedding music that adequately accompanies your production.

Q. How long will it take to edit my wedding DVD?

A. This will be dependant on the package you choose for your wedding, please see pricing on the homepage for prices and length of DVD. We would estimate 2-3 working weeks.

Q. What happens if it starts raining outside?

A. We would hope that it doesn't rain on your wedding day, however if it does we either provide a rain cover for the camera or politely ask a guest to hold an umbrella for us whilst we film (if light rain). In the event of hard or torrential rain we would try and film from cover however we cannot guarantee film quality in these conditions outside.

Q. How will you be dressed?

A. We will dress for the occasion (neat and tidy), turning up in jeans and a T`shirt is definitely not acceptable at a wedding. We usually use smart short sleeved shirts as we are carrying equipment all day and this allows some relief.

Events

Q. How do you go about making an event video?

A. We would liase with yourself and/or organiser to understand exactly what is going to take place. We would then plan locations and timing for filming prior to the event. Once the footage is gathered we then go into a post production phase whereby you can select exactly what you want from a number of options and within your budget.

Q. Can you film bands or make promo DVD`s?

A. Yes, we can either make a DVD video of a single track OR make a demonstration DVD with a compilation of several tracks. We would expect the band to rehearse to a studio recorded soundtrack that would be added for superb sound quality.

Q. I’m thinking of making a personal training DVD, can you assist?

A. Yes we can, we would discuss your idea and then propose a number of options for you to choose from. We would then make a story board detailing the menus and footage to be gathered. We would confirm timing for the shoot and then gather the footage needed for your DVD. We would compile a mock up for you to look at and alter if necessary. Once you are happy with the end product we would provide you with several copies AND an ISO master for you to duplicate as many as you like, either from a replication company or privately at home.

Q, Were thinking of adding some footage or movie/s to our web site can you make these?

A. Yes we can. We would liase with you to determine what you want filming, then we can compress the footage into Windows Media Video or QuickTime files for web based use. We understand that in the world of today companies and people are using the Internet all the time and we offer our services to compliment this.

Corporate, Training and Presentation.

Corporate, training and presentation DVD`s are the end product of planning, stock footage gathering and an extensive editing process dependant on what is required. Infinite Filming produces a master copy and a backup for you to duplicate/sell/use at your leisure. Because most project files for these categories are stored we can update information to reproduce your production with that updated information. Given that a company requests a production and we can reuse an old production, we can offer a budget price.

Q. Do you offer 2 camera wedding or corporate productions?

A. Yes we do, we charge a little extra for a second camera to be used for preparations candid and the ceremony shooting.

Q. How long will it take to editing my DVD?

A. This will be dependant on the service you require, generally we say all post production and editing takes 2 weeks. This may be longer on event filming, training / presentation and corporate.

Q. We have friends that have been let down on or before the wedding by a video company, can you guarantee you will be there?

A. Yes we will be there, providing we have received a deposit to secure your order. Your deposit secures that date for you and cannot be taken by anyone else. We recommend if you want to use our services, secure that date at the earliest possible time with a deposit.

Q Will your DVD work in an old DVD player?

A. Our DVD`s are authored to the latest standards and specifications and we cannot guarantee they will work in all or older players. All DVD`s are tested in 3 players before they are submitted for collection

1. Normal DVD player

2. Computer DVD player

3. Projection Unit

In the event your DVD doesn’t work we would recommend getting a newer DVD player.
